Psychology
Three scenes to begin observing yourself
It only takes someone looking us up and down for a multitude of reactions to awaken within us. That is where the work begins.

The third pillar of the course, Psychology, starts from a simple observation:
We have many people living inside us, and we are never identical. Sometimes a petty person manifests in us, and sometimes an irritable person.
Those ways of being are the psychological defects: mistaken ways of being that turn us into puppets, moved by invisible strings that push us to do things we often do not want to do. And they are only discovered when we turn our attention toward our own inner world.
Daily life is full of opportunities to see them. You are at the bus stop or standing in line at the bank, and someone looks you up and down. That alone is enough to bring up annoyance, the urge to stare back, embarrassment or the wish to leave.
Or you are driving and someone cuts you off: up come revenge, the insult, the urge to fight or the worry about the car. Or jealousy arrives and, with it, a host of mechanical imaginings about your partner that end in resentment, frustration and suffering.
In each of those scenes you can begin to know yourself. The first conference teaches a three-step method:
Method for the Liberation of Consciousness:
1- To Self-Observe at every instant so that we can discover the different defects that manifest to us.
2- A discovered defect must be judged until it is understood.
3- Once understood, it must be eradicated through a Supplication for elimination to our particular Divine Mother.
What dies is the defect, not us. And by eliminating it little detail by little detail, the consciousness that was trapped in it is released: little by little, the heart begins to grow calm.
